Health Risks: Use of plastics in cooking and food storage can carry health risks, especially when hormone-disrupting chemicals from some plastics leach into foods and beverages.

Polycarbonate is known to leach bisphenol A when heated or when harsh detergents are used. Dishwashers with the combination of high heat and detergent use could increase leaching. Avoid microwaving, avoid hot foods or beverages, hand wash with mild detergent, avoid acidy foods.
